SRI - OVERVIEW

Since 1997, Sri SNS Charitable Trust serves the society in various fields of education through several educational institutions. SNS Charitable Trust has been conducting various CSR activities for the upliftment of the society, under the umbrella – SNS Social Responsibility Initiatives (S.R.I). SNS SRI Activities are built around the following

  • Recognitions for Educators by instituting various awards like Best Teacher Award.
  • Improving the quality of Education for School leaving children through the conduct of Performance Evaluation Test (SNS PET), Career Guidance coaching to join NDA.
  • Elevating the quality of life of the community through various outreach activities conducted by NSS – NCC initiatives like blood donation camps and cleanliness drives.
  • Enhancing the quality of physical health of young generation by conducting various sports activities, games and competitions.
  • Augmenting the Alumni cooperation though various college activities and events.
  • Some of the activities are the benchmark of SNS SRI such as SANTA 365, Neighborhood school program, A smart kid program, Performance Evaluation Test, Talent Hunt & Talent Competition for identifying and recognizing the young talents from all over Tamil Nadu.

THE SNS ALUMNI

Alumni Association of SNS College of Technology (AASNSCT) started functioning from the year 2007-2008 and enrolled its members by comprising the following real-time objectives:
  • Enlisting more number of alumni for AASNSCT.
  • To utilize SNSCT web-link for the productive interactions between the institute and the members.
  • To invite the members of AASNSCT for the active participation in alumni and other college programs.
  • To share the experience of alumni employed in various companies and organizations.
  • To invite alumni to the campus for the special guest lectures and seminars.
  • To share the recent trends and development of the industries.
  • To update the current employment and change of address.
  • To maintain the updated database.
  • To bring the alumni of the college together by arranging special meetings and  honor them.
  • To assist SNSCT for on-campus training and  placement.

Activities

  • Alumni interactions have been periodically arranged for pre-final and final year students.
  • Alumni volunteered to conduct Mock Interviews and Group Discussions.
  • Alumni volunteered to share information about the available opportunities in industries.

  • A Design Thinking workshop was conducted by Mr. G. L. Karthik and Ms. A. Raseedha, Assistant Professors from Biomedical Engineering Department on 25th Oct, 2019 at Bishop Heber Higher Secondary School, Puthur , Trichy. Around 200 school students benefited from the session
  • A Design Thinking workshop was conducted by Mr. S. Prine Samuel, AP/EIE and Ms. A. Raseedha, AP/BME on 25th Oct, 2019 at CSI Methodist Girls Hr. Sec.School , Trichy. Around 200 school students benefited from the session
  • A Design Thinking workshop was conducted by Mrs. Ranjani, AP/EIE and Ms. A. Raseedha, AP/BME on 25th Oct, 2019 at Jegan Matha Matric Higher Secondary School , Trichy. Around 150 school students benefited from the session
  • A Design Thinking workshop was conducted by Mrs. Ranjani, AP/EIE and Mrs.Gokulakshmi A ,AP/BME on 25th Oct, 2019 at St. Johns Vestry CBSESecondary School , Trichy. Around 100  school students benefited from the session

  • A Design Thinking workshop was conducted by Mr. S. Prine Samuel, AP/EIE and Mr. G. L. Karthik, AP/BME on 25th Oct, 2019 at Ideal Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Aranthangi. Around 150  school students benefited from the session
  • A Design Thinking workshop was conducted by Biomedical Engineering students, V. S. Jagadhish, AP/BME and Mr. T. Arun Kumar, AP/Chemistry on 31st July, 2019 at Violet Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Coimbatore. Around 30 school students benefited from the session.
  • A Seminar on “Exploiting Small World Problems in a SLoT Environment” by Dr. Anand Paul, Professor in the field of Connected Computing and Media Processing from Kyungpook National University, Daegu, South Korea on 27th Aug, 2019. Around 157 members from the student community benefited from the session.
  • Organized a Social Awareness Programme on Rain Water Harvesting through Design Thinking for CMS Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Ganapathy on 07.08.2019. Around 152 members benefited from this session.
  • Out Bound Training for CMS Matriculation Higher Secondary School Students/Faculty was conducted on 07.08.2019. Around 52 members benefited from this session.

  • Lingesh .K of IV BME attended All India Thal Sainik Camp (TSC) DTE TRG – I from 20.09.2018 to 28.09.2018 and Secured Gold Medal in the camp held at New Delhi.

  • Nagasoundarya. P of IV BME Participated in extension activity organized by Youth Red Cross Society and visited Orphanage – Saranalaya Home for Orphans and Children’s of prisoners on 17.2.2018

  • A Campaign on Drug Free India in presence of Mr. Saravana Prabhu Subramanian, State Youth Coordinators from Drug Free India Campaign, TamilNadu was organized on 19.02.2019. Around 288 participants joined the programme.
  • Free Eye check up camp was conducted on 30.08.2018 at SNSCT Campus with the help of Arvind Eye Hospital, Coimbatore
  • A Brain activating session was conducted by Mr. T. Arun Kumar, AP/Chemistry and Biomedical Engineering students on 14th July 2019 at Cottolengo little house of divine providene, Coimbatore.
  • A Tree Plantation program was conducted by Faculties and Students of EIE and BME at Keeranatham, Coimbatore on 15th Oct, 2019.
  • A social service was done by Mr. T. Arun Kumar, AP/Chemitry along with Biomedical Engineering students at Karunai Illam, Coimbatore by providing fundamental needs to Mentally retarted and Old aged people on 14th April, 2019
  • A Medical camp was conducted by Mr. Jagadhish, AP/BME and Mr. T. Arun Kumar, AP/Chemistry along with Biomedical Engineering Students at PRS Polic Ground, Coimbatore on 28th September, 2019
  • During Visit organied by Dr. K. Yasoda, Prof/BME and Mr. Karthik G. L., AP/BME to Saint St.Philomena Trust , Joseph Cathedral Church located at Mysore on 19.07.2019, a donation of Rupees One Thousand and Two Hundred was offered by Faculty and Students of Biomedical Engineering Department
  • Social Awareness Programme on Significance of First Aid by Dr. R. L. V. Vasantha Kumar, MBBS from SNS Trust Subbanna Gounder Clinic happened on 29.07.2017. Around 61 members benefited from the session.
