EEE Department interacts and liaises with well-reputed industries to facilitate funded projects, research and consultancy in the chosen areas. The department’s Corporate Advisory Board includes top executives from leading industries and government organizations such as State Electricity Board, Larsen & Toubro, Siemens, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd, Atomic Research Centre, etc. Numerous initiatives aiming at promoting interaction between the department and the industries are taken. This will have great bearing on the Engineering Curriculum, exposure of industrial atmosphere to engineering students and subsequent placement of young graduating engineers in industries across the country. To promote Industry Institute Interaction the following initiatives are being undertaken
- Organizing Workshops, International & National conferences with joint participation of the faculty and the industries.
- Value-added courses in collaboration with Industries.
- Arranging invited lectures and webinars by professionals from the industry.
- Participation of experts from industry in curriculum development.
- Arranging visits of staff members to various industries.
- Consultancy work rendered to industries.
- Providing technical support to the industrial consultants for various industrial processes.
- Visits of faculty to industry for study and discussions on moulding student’s projects to comply with industrial standards.
- Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with industries to bring the two sides strategically closer.
- Collaboration with companies for submission of proposals to funding agencies.
The growing graduates from educational institutions may play a key role in technology up-gradation and competitiveness of an industry. Therefore industry-institute interaction may approach the latest development and requirements of an industry. This interaction may be stronger by signing an MoU with an industry. It proceeds to establish incubation, R& D centre in the institute premises. The faculty/student may expose their talents in creating wonderful innovations. Collaboration and cooperation may promote effective usage of technical share.
We the department of EEE at SNS College of Technology practice design thinking-based curriculum which promotes innovation and creative thoughts among the stake holders. In order to bring solutions to real world problems we closely associate with industry partners in order to bring excellence in our curriculum. This enhances the interaction between the institution and industries, thereby having an impact of exposure of engineering students to industrial atmosphere and subsequent placement of young graduating engineers in multinational companies across the country.
The Placement cell is an Integral part of SNS CT. It continuously monitors the employment opportunities available in various domains. It also vibrantly interacts with diverse corporate industries and arranges the campus interviews for the eligible students both at Under Graduate and Post Graduate level. Training is provided to the students based on their interests.The Placement Team members are from various leading Business Houses and Institutions with rich experience in understanding the current market scenario and exploring for the best opportunities to the students.In addition to Placement of students, we also arrange for Guest Lectures / Workshops conducted by Eminent HR / Technical Professionals from IT, ITeS and Core Industries at regular intervals, to ensure that current skill sets are imparted to the students and make them “Industry Ready”.
With good planning and approaching the appropriate Companies in various verticals, we were able to place the majority of our students in major Companies, in spite of the slow down in the recruitment process. Many of our students, who got placed in major IT, ITeS and Core Companies have performed well and reached greater heights in their Career. We have a good Placement Cell infrastructure which comprises of 2 GD Panel rooms, 7 closed interview panels and 2 Conference halls. We ensure comfort for both the recruiters and the students during the recruitment process.
